MANILA--Ceres' bid for an 18-0-0 season sweep may have come to an abrupt end following its loss to Global in its eighth match, but for Coach Ali Go, it just relieved the club of the pressure of winning the UFL title.

"I think the pressure is now out. We lost one game. There's always pressure of playing with no loss," Go said after the Saturday night loss, Ceres' first in the league after a long unbeaten streak dating back to last season, when the club was still in Division 2.

He also motivated his players during the post-game huddle.

"I told them, 'Even Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, they lose. Any professional team loses. It's on how you stand up after the game," Go described how the huddle went.

However, the mentor believed that the match could have still gone either way.

"For me, it was still a 50-50 game. I think Ceres played well, but just one step behind," Go said.

Despite the defeat, Ceres can still finish the first round of the season at the top of the league table if it at least draws with Socceroo on Tuesday.
