Mike Miguel/One Championship

MAKATI--In only his third fight at PXC, Mark Striegl got his first world title shot.

However, it was in that championship fight where the Filipino MMA star incurred the only loss in his career so far.

When Striegl was introduced as One Championship's latest addition, the promotion's vice president, Rich Franklin, said that it may take a longer time before Striegl will battle for a belt again.

It's OK for Striegl.

Chatting with Dugout Philippines on Tuesday after his open workout, Striegl, asked about his take to Franklin's statement last month, reacted, "I'm not the matchmaker, but I'll fight whoever One Championship puts me up against."

Right now, his attention is on Casey Suire for Friday night's Valor of Champion at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Striegl said, "First and foremost, all my focus is on Casey. I'm taking one step at a time, and my first step is Casey."
