Alaska pummels Blackwater as Govs Cup revival continues

QUEZON CITY--Alaska's late PBA Governors' Cup playoff run continued on Sunday night with a 107-87 drubbing of Blackwater at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Aces, who have now won two of their last three contests, outscored the Elite, 57-34, in the middle two quarters en route to the rout.

LaDontae Henton dropped 33 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block for Alaska, as he took advantage of Eric Dawson's absence.

Chris Banchero, meanwhile, flirted with a point-assist double-double as he dished out 12 of the team's 27 total dimes along with eight markers.

Arth Dela Cruz led the all-Filipino Blackwater squad, which dropped its sixth straight game, with 23 points, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
