MANILA--In his first day back as Gilas coach, Chot Reyes told the national team players in the meeting with the SBP on Tuesday in Pasig that they are not the only players in the pool.
The multi-titled PBA mentor revealed that PBA players will bolster the Gilas 5.0 pool that will play for the new FIBA World Cup Qualifiers starting next year.
"The PBA is going to lend at least one player per team to be part of this pool," Reyes said during the said meeting, which was streamed live on Sports5's Facebook page.
Reyes reasoned the new FIBA World Cup qualifying format, which will make the teams busier than before, further baring that frequent roster shuffling could be imminent because of the other tournaments Gilas will take part in.
Blackwater's Almond Vosotros, who was part of the FIBA Asia Challenge pool, was present in the meeting.
