MANILA-- Stallion manager Ernie Nierras was more than his usual self despite their 2-2 draw with Loyola last Saturday night that all but ended the Sparks' AFC Cup drive.

"We played to win. That's what we are. From beginning to the end, we go all out" the former Malditas said, as he credited the total team effort of his squad after the match as he also added that some of his booters are national team material and they take steps to be ready in case of call-ups.

Nierras reflected the season for the former UFL Double winners, in which they finished in sixth with 31 points after nineteen matches, and led the league with draws with seven.

"Stallion players played with heart. This is the last game, it didn't mean anything for us. You do not want to end your season with a loss," he added, added that he lost 9 booters during the course of the season.
