GlobalPort takes QF spot with rout of ROS through Romeo career-high

PASAY—Terrence Romeo exploded once again, and GlobalPort barged its way to the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals with a 117-99 blowout victory in the penultimate night of the eliminations at the Cuneta Astrodome on Sunday.

Romeo dropped a personal-best 44 points on 16-of-30 shooting to lead the Batang Pier to a berth in the next round.

GlobalPort bucked a slow start and limited ROS to only 15 points in the third quarter before dropping 42 of its own in the fourth with Romeo tallying 19 of them.

Romeo also had six rebounds, six assists, and two steals in the win.

Stanley Pringle helped Romeo in the scoring barrage with 28 points while also grabbing six boards with four assists.

Jeff Chan led the E-Painters, who dropped to 5-5, with 26 points, four caroms, four dimes, and two steals.
