MANILA -- Fresh from winning the Women's Open of the inaugural, Mayor's Cup sevens in Biñan, OutKast went back to the full-scaled game, tearing a younger Kaya side to pieces in a 7-1 thrashing to lead things off in the the Saturday doubleheader of the W-League at the Rizal Memorial Stadium

After getting a bye last week, UST alumna Jennizel Cabalan picked up where she left off, scoring a hat-trick for OutKast, which leapfrogged past UP in the second spot in the table with 13 points, just only two behind undefeated La Salle.

The surprise squad of the league jumped ahead of the pack right from the opening whistle thanks to Cabalan's first half brace in the 15th and in the 28 minute, with Sharmaine Siaotong added a third seven minutes later for a 3-0 half-time lead.

OutKast then turned on the heat again at the restart, with Dai-dai Dolino (48th) and Barbie Sobredo (65th) also joined on the scoresheet in a virtually one-sided contest, as Cabalan completed her hat-trick fifteen minutes before full time.

Glynnes Dela Cruz notched Kaya's second goal all season, scoring on a consolatory spot kick as former under-14 standout Lindsay Whaley scored with three minutes left to complete their dominating performance for their fourth win in five matches, leaving Kaya languishing further at the bottom with their sixth straight setback.
