MANILA -- Jayson Rafol had a better time to explode than on his birthday yesterday, with his brace almost had UST home and hosed before a last minute La Salle equalizer have forced them to split the pot.

The sophomore striker thanked everyone in making it memorable for him, and he shared the secret to the Tigers' speedy chemistry that gave the taller Green Archers fits for ninety minutes.

"Pagkatapos ng practice namin. Alam niyo yung larong SF [Special Force]? Dun kami nadedevelop yung brotherhood namin. Kaya dito, nagkakaintindihan kami," said the Romblon-born booter after the match.

Rafol was lucky to survive the extreme physical nature of the game, although he had to endure a bad back to finish the match.

"Siyempre malalaki kalaban at pisikal ang laro namin, kaya kelangan namin sumabay sa laro," Rafol noted.

However he thinks his performance might have gone down the drain due to the last-minute equalizer, but Rafol later conceded that a point is better than none at all, as the draw kept them ahead of their opponents in the final postseason spot.

"At least maganda naman ang laro namin, so wala namang reklamo si coach," Rafol concluded, adding that they already learn from the mistakes from the first two losses, getting seven points in the next four fixtures.
