MANILA -- UP posted back-to-back four-goal shutouts with NU their next victim to move up to the UAAP table late Sunday afternoon at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The reigning champs were led by Jeremiah Borlongan's first half brace, with Kintaro Miyagi and James Condat chipping in a goal apiece in the second half to move provisionally on top of the table, still undefeated with seven points after three matches, a point above FEU and Ateneo who are playing against UST as of this writing.

It took 22 minutes for the Fighting Maroons of Anto Gonzales to break Hayeson Pepito's net with Borlongan blasting UP's first strike into the roof of NU's net, and then completed his brace just five minutes later on a 1-on-1 with Pepito to put them up 2-0 at the break.

"He was very excited to be back on the pitch and eager to play. That's why I think he deserves those two goals," Gonzales said to his sophomore winger who missed Thursday's beating of UE due to a hamstring injury.

In the second half, Miyagi then made it 3-0 just four minutes in, then turned provider to the subsitute Condat to put the finishing touches in the 76th minute for a 4-0 win, sending the Bulldogs to their second consecutive shutout loss.
