Cignal gores Tanduay, seals finals clash with Racal

PASIG—It's Racal versus Cignal-San Beda in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Finals.

The Hawkeyes bucked a slow first quarter to blast the Tanduay Rhum Masters, 88-65, in the other knockout semifinal at the Ynares Sports Arena on Tuesday night.

The Hawkeyes outscored the Rhum Masters, 29-13, in the second quarter to turn an 11-18 deficit to a 40-31 halftime lead and never looked back to earn the right to face the Tile Masters, who won in the first do-or-die game earlier Tuesday.

Pamboy Raymundo led Cignal with 17 points, five rebounds, five assists, and one steal, while Jason Perkins added a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds alongside two assists and one block.

Jerwin Gaco had 15 marker and eight boards for Tanduay.

Game 1 of the best-of-three finals will happen on Thursday at the said venue.
