QUEZON CITY -- La Salle arrest their longest losing skid in style after getting even with cellar-dweller Adamson to start their second round on bright note to cap off the UAAP's Thursday doubleheader early in the evening at the Moro Lorenzo field.

Goals by Nicko Villacin and Jed Diamante in the second powered the Green Archers to only their second win of the season with a 2-0 win, but they are still two points behind UST and NU to stuck at sixth in the table on eight points.

After a scoreless first half, La Salle's attacking got razor sharp at the restart, with the junior centre-back headed their first in the 67th minute from a Noel Brago free kick, towering over the three defenders of Adamson around him.

The sophomore midfielder then settled matters as they finally snapped their five-match winless run that included a shock win by the Falcons last March 9 with a long-ranged bomb deep into added time that deflected off Marc De Guzman and into the net of Jim Viray.
