MANILA
-- La Salle comprehensively beat Ateneo in the top-of-the-table match in the Rizal Memorial Stadium to go alone on top of the UAAP table.

The Lady Archers muscled up against their archrivals, who atone for the loss of their women's volleyball counterparts today to remain unbeaten for the third straight match with a 3-0 win, with Kyla Inquig improved her game from last week, pestering the Ateneo defense in the middle off the field with an assist and two close efforts in her name.

Kyra Dimaandal was the first receipient of Inquig's initial effort, poking the ball home from a rebound five minutes before half-time to set the tone for Hans Smit's ladies.

It wasn't long after though that The Archers doubled their lead in the 55th minute when Nicole Andaya duly cleaned up another rebound after Inquig was denied by Rianne Caparos on her initial effort once again.

Inquig finally got her definite contribution at the 68th minute, in which she picked out Irish Navaja on a thru ball and the junior made no mistake with a looper out of Caparros' reach and into the back of the net.
