Malayan adds more woes to Camp David; Notre Dame downs St. Louis

MANILA--Malayan won its second straight game in the NBTC National Finals after crippling Camp David, 87-48, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Tuesday.

Malayan shut down Camp David from the get-go, limiting the latter to only 30 percent shooting and two assists while forcing 25 turnovers.

The Red Robins were actually solid offensively as well, connecting on half of their total field goal attempts.

Rom Junsay led Malayan with 13 points, three assists, and one steal off the bench, while Will Gozum added 12 points and two rebounds.

Emmanuel Maagdenberg is the only guy in double figures for Camp David, finishing with 16 points, six rebounds, and one block.

In Division 2 action, Notre Dame of Midsayap survived a lethargic outing and turned back St. Louis, 54-46.

Notre Dame won despite making only 33 percent of its shots as it forced 37 turnovers on St. Louis.

Roland Fuerte top scored for Notre Dame with 13 points alongside five rebounds and one steal.
