MANILA--Eight e-sports squads from around the world will converge at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on May 26-28 as Mineski, the top internet cafe chain in the country, presents The Masters Manila 2017 or simply Manila Masters.
Following the successful staging of two major DOTA 2 events at the said venue last year, the MOA Arena will be the site of the inaugural staging of the Manila Masters organized by Mineski's events team.
ESL, which staged ESL One at the said arena last April, is the main sponsor of the Manila Masters.
As of posting, three club gained direct invites to the Manila Masters, the Evil Geniuses (EG), OG, and Newbee.
One more team will get an automatic slot in the Manila Masters, and it will be announced at a later date.
The remaining four seats in the Manila Masters will be filled by the teams that will prevail in the zonal qualifiers earlier in the month.
The champion of the said tournament will go home with US$250,000 or a little more than PHP12.5 million.
