QUEZON CITY--Mahindra finally notched its first win of the PBA Commissioner's Cup after a dominating showing from James While steered the Floodbuster roll past NLEX, 89-81, Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 23-year old returning import for Mahindra accounted for an earth shattering 30-point, 23-rebound performance, setting the bar at the onset of the game, all the way to anchoring the Floodbuster to break out of its 0-2 start.

He showed off his exploits as early as the first half to break into his double-double statline.

Doing a little bit of everything for his then struggling squad, White actually came out as the lone player in double figures for the team, with four of his teammates posting nine each to back him up.

The woes, meanwhile, continue to pile up for the Road Warriors, who now dropped its third game in a row to start the tourney on a disastrous 0-3 slate.

Import Wayne Chism tried to carry the slumping NLEX team on his back, who appears to still be in search for answers to their struggles that actually bridge to the prior conference, where they had to be eliminated early in the eliminations.

Chism scattered 28 markers and hauled 21 boards while Jansen Rios tallied 15 to become the only local player to score in double-digits for the Road Warriors.
