MAKATI—A huge contingent of young ballers flocked the Don Bosco campus here in Day 1 of the Jr. NBA North Luzon Regional Selection Camp on Saturday.

As of 12:15 p.m., 1,317 kids aged 10-14 years old showed up in the first stage of the two-day camp that will run through the opening weekend of April.

The young basketball players underwent vitals and skills test to assess their capabilities.

More registrants are expected to come to Don Bosco as Day 1 rolls on.

Only a handful of participants will be called up for the final day of the camp on Sunday, where their level of competitiveness in the game will be determined.

The top players from Day 2 will be given spots to the national training camp on May 12-14.

Jr. NBA will return to Don Bosco Makati for the first two days of the national camp, while the camp will culminate at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, where an NBA player and a WNBA legend will serve as guest coaches.
