LUCENA--The Luzon All-Stars may be that stacked, but Gilas never wavered.

Gilas fought back from 17 points down to clobber the Luzon All-Stars, 122-111, in the second leg of the PBA All-Star Week at the Quezon Convention Center on Friday night.

Gilas closed out the game on a 17-0 run to complete the comeback.

The Luzon All-Stars showed their might in the third quarter, and the National found themselves trailing, 64-81, midway through the quarter.

Gilas, however, slowly recovered late in the third and in the fourth period and pulled off the final blow within the last 4:27 of the game.

Two nights after being named the co-MVP in the Cagayan De Oro leg, Matt Wright was once named the All-Star Game MVP of the Lucena leg with 15 points, one rebound, seven assists, and one steal.

Troy Rosario, the other co-MVP of the first All-Star Game donning the Mindanao All-Stars kit, chipped in 12 markers including a dagger three with 1:09 left, seven rebounds, three assists, and one block this time for Gilas.

Mike Tolomia also had 15 points even as Jonathan Grey came off the bench to lead the Gilas pool with 19.

Japeth Aguilar, who is also part of the Gilas pool, tallied 18 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, and two blocks for the Luzon All-Stars.
