QUEZON CITY -- La Salle brought the brooms at the end of the UAAP Women's Football season as they sweep their season with a come from behind 2-1 win over UST.

The win was the eight in a row for the Lady Archers as they go directly into the Women's Final, despite already assured of a ticket to the title match 2 weeks ago.

Both teams started the game with good pace with La Salle having a bit of advantage on the possession. However, UST was able to gt the lead in the 21st minute from a good buildup play as Mary Joy Indac guided the ball towards the back of the net.

Santo  Tomas got even close to doubling their lead as a breakaway play was wasted with a good cross failing to find the receiver.

La Salle also mounted the pressure to their rivals as Kyra Dimaandal unleashed a shot only for the ball to fly just a bit over the bar.

Finally, the Taft-based outfit was able to equalize courtesy of Dimaandal from a quality pass from Nicole Andaya after a good run from the left flank.

The 1-1 scoreline would prove to be the case until the end of the first half.

In the second half, DLSU was able to stamp their superiority as they increased the intensity and registered the advantage in the 50th minute as Nina Arrieta pulled off a parabolic strike that deceived UST's Nicole Reyes and into the goal.

Even with La Salle dominating most of the proceedings a nervous moment came as UST attacked and Coach Hans Smit's wards failed to immediately make the clearance.

That pressure by UST would prove to be the last major threat as La Salle was able to pad the lead in the 80th minute care of a Chelo Marie Hodges goal.
