PASIG--Gilas coach Chot Reyes just set the date of the announcement of the national team's lineup for the SEABA Men's Championship.
"Sa April 28 nang gabi," Reyes said to Dugout Philippines on Tuesday night right after the team's daily practice at the Meralco Gym.
The announcement will happen on the day the Gilas pool takes on the Luzon All-Stars in the second leg of the PBA All-Star Week at the Quezon Convention Center in Lucena.
He, however, clarified that it will not disrupt the flow of things come April 30, when another set of Gilas members battles the Visayas All-Stars in Lapu-Lapu.
"The Gilas members from Cebu are still going to play for the PBA selection," Reyes specifically quipped.
He also said that the Final 12 will begin to be together on May 2, when they make their first practice back.
Meanwhile, Reyes said that he is not in a hurry to make the selection.
"We keep our minds very open, and we don't want to make any kind of judgment until the All-Stars," he said in conclusion.
