MANILA--EAC rallied in the fourth quarter and finished the job in overtime for its first win in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup, handing Adamson its first defeat via a 76-73 victory at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Monday.

Down 43-49 entering the final canto, the Generals slowly crawled back to the game and came close to winning it in regulation after Sidney Onwubere hit a triple with 6.6 seconds left for a 64-61 lead.

Robbie Manalang, however, eventually forced overtime as he answered back with his own triple to tie the count at 64-all with 0.9 second remaining.

Hamadou Laminou had one last chance to give EAC the win in regulation, but his shot was blocked by Papi Sarr as the buzzer sounded.

The remained tight in the early goings of the extension, but a huge 6-0 run by the Generals capped by a Francis Munsayac layup with 18.1 seconds left sealed the deal for them.

Onwubere (23 points and 10 rebounds) and Laminou (21 points and 11 rebounds) each chipped in double-doubles for EAC with the latter also making four blocks.

Jerome Garcia had seven points, three rebounds, and three assists for EAC in his first FilOil game against his former team.
