FEU holds off late Arellano push to stay unbeaten in FilOil tourney

SAN JUAN, MM—FEU scored its second win in as many games in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup after drubbing Arellano, 87-81, at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Sunday.

The Tamaraws outscored the Chiefs, 34-20, in the third quarter to break out of a close first half and lead, 72-57.

It turned out to be enough for FEU as Arellano put up a fight in the fourth quarter but came up short.

Prince Orizu led the Tams, who only committed 10 turnovers overall, with 14 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks.

RJ Ramirez and Hubert Can each added 12 points.

Kent Salado paced the Chiefs, who fell to 0-3, with 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
