Golden State sweeps Utah, earns West Finals trip

SALT LAKE CITY—Golden State became the second team to enter the NBA semifinals after sweeping Utah, 121-95, in Game 4 of the quarterfinals at the Vivint Smart Home Arena on Tuesday (Philippine Time).

The Warriors opened the game with a flurry, outscoring the Jazz, 39-17, in the first quarter.

Golden State slowed down a bit in the second quarter, letting Utah to come to within eight, 52-60, at halftime, but the team continued the pouncing in the second half and never looked back.

Steph Curry led the Warriors with 30 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and one block, while Draymond Green tallied a triple-double of 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists with two steals.

Gordon Hayward had 25 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals for the Jazz.

Golden State will await the winner of the San Antonio-Houston series in the Western Conference Finals. The series is tied, 2-all, with Game 5 scheduled in San Antonio on Wednesday (Philippine Time).
