MANILA--Kobe Paras' US NCAA journey shed a new light.

Middlebrooks Academy announced on Thursday (Philippine Time) via Twitter that the six-foot-six wingman got a scholarship offer from Santa Clara University.
Santa Clara is the alma mater of NBA legend Steve Nash, who was part of the 1993 team that shocked Arizona in the first round of the March Madness.

Middlebrooks also revealed that Paras also got an offer from Cal State-Fullerton, known as the college of PBA stars Marcio Lassiter and Ryan Reyes.

Another notable school with an offer for Paras was Grand Canyon, coached by NBA legend Dan Majerle.

The other schools that pitched a scholarship offer for the former Batang Gilas high-flyer are Cal State-Northridge and University of Hawaii.
