Perpetual Help trounces UE in FilOil play

By Ivan Saldajeno

MANILA--Perpetual Help seems to know how to bounce back from a loss.

The Altas turned back the UE Red Warriors, 72-68, in their FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup clash at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City on Wednesday.

Perpetual Help pummeled UE defensively in the middle two quarters, limiting its opponent to only 28 combined points in the second and the third periods.

The Altas would hold off a gallant stand by the Warriors in the fourth quarter.

Gab Dagangon and Jack Hao each contributed 14 points for Perpetual Help, which bounced back from a defeat to UST on Sunday and moved up to 2-2 with the former even achieving a double-double with 10 rebounds.

Alvin Pasaol led UE with 19 points, but he needed 25 shots to get the said number of markers.
