Thailand spoils Vietnam's SEABA debut with blowout

By Ivan Saldajeno

QUEZON CITY—Thailand was too much for Vietnam as the former hacked out a 76-51 rout in Day 2 of the SEABA Men's Championship at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.

The Thais tripped the Vietnamese squad from start to finish for second straight win in the tournament.

Kannut Samerjai bounced back from a so-so game against Malaysia the night before with a game-high 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting with four assists and one steal in a game where Chitchai Ananti did not play.

Van Hung Nguyen and Vu Linh Tran each tallied 10 markers for Vietnam.
