Thailand turns back Indonesia for first win in SEABA U16

QUEZON CITY—Thailand pummeled Indonesia, 79-69, for win number one in the SEABA U16 Championship at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Tuesday.

The Thais used a 16-0 run late in the first quarter to take the lead for good, 20-8. They would stretch the lead to as high as 18, 71-53, in the fourth quarter.

The Indons still put up a fight, scoring 10 straight points to cut the lead to eight, 71-63, but the Thais held on.

Arnagorn Homthuanlom led Thailand with 21 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while Aaron Wadman tallied a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds with five assists, one block, and one steal.

Alex Felix garnered 21 markers, three boards, six assists, one steal, and one block for Indonesia, which fell to 0-3.
