Meralco Manila and JPV Marikina retain their first and second spots in the PFL after playing out contrasting results in Wednesday's fixtures.

The capital club blew an early lead in the first half that forced them to split the pot away at Davao Aguilas in a four-goal standoff.

Tahj Minniecon silenced Tagum just two minutes in, with Phil Younghusband making it 2-0 nine minutes later.

Davao fought back by scoring in both halves to become the first team to nick a point against the league leaders whose winning start ended at five.

Milos Krstic pulled one back in the 22nd minute, before Dylan De Bruycker smashed the Sparks' hopes of a repeat victory by scoring on a counter with a Gilmar assist 17 minutes from full time for just their third point of the season.

In Bantay, the high-flying Voltes of Dan Padernal repeat over Ilocos United with a 2-1 win for their fourth win on the trot.

Alen Angeles scored their first just four minutes in, with Takumi Uesato doubled their lead at double the time of Angeles' goal that moved them within a point of Manila in the table

Chima Uzoka pulled one back a minute past the half-hour mark but it was not enough to lift them off the cellar with their second straight home defeat.
