PHILSPADA, PH Paralympic Committee stage Paralympic summit

LOS BAÑOS--The PHILSPADA and the Philippine Paralympic Committee will organize the first Philippine Para Sports Summit on Friday at the Microtel Hotel inside the UP-Ayala Technohub in Quezon City.

With the theme "Transcending Barriers Through Sports", various sports personalities will converge to discuss what the Philippine Paralympic scene needs for its betterment.

The said summit was inspired by the success of Rio Paralympics bronze medalist Josephine Medina, who will be a guest of honor.

Among those who will also grace the event are PSC chairman Butch Ramirez, POC president Peping Cojuangco, PPC-PHILSPADA president Michael Barredo and renowned sports medicine expert Raul Canlas.

The said event will start the Philippines' preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, which include the preparations for the 2017 and 2019 ASEAN Para Games and the 2018 Asian Para Games.
