MANILA--San Miguel's Arwind Santos was furious after TNT's RR Pogoy apparently hit his groin at the 8:36 mark of the third quarter of Game 2 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals.
“Galit na galit na galit na galit ako. Ba’t niya ginawa yun? [Taga-]FEU pa naman din siya,” Santos reacted about his fellow ex-King Tamaraw's action.
Commissioner Chito Narvasa took notice of it too.
Narvasa ordered Pogoy to pay PHP30,000 for the said infraction, which was merited as a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2.
Narvasa announced the sanction on Saturday, just one day before the Beermen and the KaTropa will meet again in Game 3 of the said championship series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Pogoy did not receive a suspension, making him eligible to play in the said game.
Both teams split the first two games of the best-of-seven affair, which makes the Sunday night match-up something to watch out, especially that the emotions are now running high.
