PBA

QUEZON CITY—Charles Rhodes may not have the most glaring stats among the imports in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.

But the media, the players, and the PBA itself find them impressive enough.

The San Miguel forward took home the Best Import of the mid-season conference as formalized prior to Game 4 of the team's finals series against TNT on Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Rhodes ranked third in the stats with 451 points, way behind Star's Ricardo Ratliffe (613), but Rhodes got 34 and 12 first place votes from the media and the players respectively for 517 and 56 total points respectively while getting 150 from the PBA, which were enough for him to overtake Ratliffe, who did not have a first place vote but got 31 second place votes from the media.

Rhodes got a grand total of 1,174 points, while Ratliffe garnered 943.

Ginebra's Justin Brownlee is the only import apart from Rhodes who made the Best Import consideration among those who played from the start of the conference, finishing third with 706 points.

Despite being a late replacement import for TNT, Joshua Smith still made the shortlist, even getting the better of the player votes than Rhodes and eventually ranking fourth with 536 points.
