MANILA--Star secured the third berth in the PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals after drubbing Rain Or Shine, 84-69, in Game 2 of their best-of-three quarterfinals series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Wednesday night.
While maintaining their solid defense, the Hotshots waxed hot in the second half, dropping 51 points on the Elasto Painters to pull away for good.
Ricardo Ratliffe dropped 26 points, 24 rebounds, five assists, and one block for Star, which will take on San Miguel in the semifinals.
Despite a steady field goal clip, Duke Crews was virtually silenced the entire game, only making 12 points and five rebounds for ROS, which was dethroned as champ.
