LOS BAÑOS--TNC now has a chance to finish some unfinished business in The International.

The new faces of the Philippine e-sports scene sealed the first Southeast Asian berth to the world's biggest DOTA 2 tournament after dominating the first round of the SEA Qualifiers on Tuesday night.

Now led by Canadian player Theeban Siva but kept three of the members of its TI6 squad in Marc Fausto, Carlo Palad, and Sam Hidalgo, TNC nearly swept all of its nine assignments in the round-robin phase of the qualifying tournament with its lone loss coming at the hands of Clutch Gamers.

But none was more important than TNC's last first round match against Malaysian side Fnatic.

With both clubs entering the game at 7-1, which meant the winner will get the outright TI7 spot, Palad, playing Puck, delivered the goods for TNC with a fantastic carry performance to seal the first of three Southeast Asian tickets to Seattle.

Fnatic and Clutch Gamers, which finished fourth at 6-3, will join Mineski, which is actually tied with Clutch but took the third seed by the winner-over-the-other rule, and Execration, which beat Faceless in a playoff for fifth, in the playoffs starting on Wednesday that will decide the other two teams going to TI7.
