Warriors blast Cavs in second half to take Finals opener

MANILA--Golden State sizzled in the second half to clobber Cleveland, 113-91, in Game 1 of the NBA Finals at the Oracle Arena in Oakland on Friday (Philippine Time).

The Warriors opened the second half on a 13-0 run, and despite an 8-2 counter rally by the Cavaliers, the Warriors continued on pummeling the Cavs in the end.

Kevin Durant dropped 38 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists without a turnover, while Steph Curry added a double-double of 26 points and 10 assists with six rebounds and three steals for Golden State, which is now 13-0 in the playoffs.

Draymond Green came close to his own double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds with two assists, two steals and one block.

Overall, Golden State assisted on 31 shots and committed only four turnovers, tying an all-time single-game low in the Finals.

Lebron James led Cleveland with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists, but he also committed eight of the team's 20 turnovers.
