MANILA--Batangas and Tanduay will break off a tie for third place in a crucial PBA D-League Foundation Cup meeting at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig on Thursday.

Currently at 4-2 each, only one team from Batangas and Tanduay will stay in third after their 3 p.m. encounter, which also implies that one team's dream of making the semifinals outright will get a huge boost.

On the other hand, aside from falling to a tie with CEU for fifth place, the losing side will also see its own semifinal bid taking a huge hit.

“Parang laglagan ang mangyayari dahil tied kami at three and four sa standings,” said Tanduay coach Lawrence Chongson.

On the other hand, Racal looks to stay in the playoff as it takes on Marinerong Pilipino at 5 p.m.

The Alibaba can join the logjam for fifth with a win against the Skippers, who need to win the nightcap to stay alive in the quarterfinal chase.
