MANILA -- PFL leaders Meralco Manila faces their biggest threat to the title when fifth-placed Ceres Negros pay a visit to Rizal Memorial on Saturday.

With both clubs stacked up with Philippine internationals and coming off from contrasting victories, expect a star-studded clash, with the top seed Sparks stake their unbeaten run at home, after they won three and only drew once in their first four matches.

For both squads, the seven-point disparity in the table will not be a matter as they were equal in terms of virtually everything.

"We have a lot of respect for Meralco because they are leading the league. If we play 100% and if we take the game seriously and work together like we did in the AFC Cup then we can make a good game," said Ceres gaffer Risto Vidakovic.

Knowing that Joaco Cañas is still in doubt after a nasty shin injury last week, Manila tactician Aris Caslib surely leave no stone unturned in this titanic encounter.

"Ceres are a very organized team, which speaks very well of their level. The players know they can play with Ceres but it will all boil down to hard work, concentration, and working together," the San Beda footballing legend quoted.
