By Ivan Saldajeno

BIÑAN--For the second straight match, Meralco Manila played streak-buster again.

Manila ended Laguna's five-game unbeaten run with a 3-2 victory at the Biñan Football Stadium on Saturday night.

Connor Tacagni led the visiting side's attack in the first half with a brace that set up the pace of the match.

Tacagni put Manila on the board with a 29th minute that went past Bitoy Rosalia before adding another in the 33th minute with a shot that bounced inside the goal line.

Tyler Matas added another goal in the 55th minute, scoring from the left side of the goal box.

Laguna, however, got bright moments late, starting in the 76th minute as Ko Kyung-Joon introduced himself to the league with a rocket goal and capping with a huge strike from Fitch Arboleda with one minute left in the match.

Manila strengthened its hold of first place as its lead over Cebu is now extended to five points.

Despite the loss, Laguna stays in sixth place with 14 points.
