Perlas vents ire on Myanmar with blowout

MANILA--A day after falling to Indonesia, Perlas wrecked havoc on Myanmar for a 123-33 win in the SEA Games women's basketball competition at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

Perlas led from wire to wire and did not let Myanmar score 10 or more in each of the first three quarters.

Clare Castro tallied a double-double of 21 points, 12 rebounds with two assists, and four blocks off the bench, while Cindy Resultay and Raiza Dy each added 16 points for Perlas.

Analyn Almazan came close to her own double-double with 14 boards and eight markers.

Thet Su Htwe and Yu Yu each made eight points for Myanmar.
