QUEZON CITY -- Katrina Guytingco was almost at a loss for words after she gave Ateneo a 2-0 start to their women's basketball season yesterday at the Big Dome.

After the small forward lifted the Lady Eagles in a see-saw encounter with Katipunan rivals UP, she admitted that there are a lot of things to be fixed.

"It feels good. Although it was a great winning shot, we should have better game overall," Guytingco humbly said to Dugout Philippines minutes after they went 2-0 to start the season.

She agreed to her mentor John Flores that they should have to create their win on their own effort and not too dependent on the opponent's miscues.

"We have to work together and to overcome this and make less mistakes," she later added about their sloppy game that they had, as Ateneo turned the ball over 31 times against the Lady Maroons.

Afterwards, Flores was also happy with veteran Cara Buendia for stepping up with her breakout game that made her the lone Lady Eagle in double figures.

"She came in flat and got an earful. Despite the yelling that she got, she responded well, and that is expected from her," Flores contemplated while setting their sights to 1-1 FEU on Sunday.
