Prado shines as Adamson keeps La Salle winless, gets first win

PASAY -- Third time's the charm for thr Adamson Lady Falcons as they get their first win of the UAAP Women's basketball tournament, keeping last season's runner-up La Salle winless in a close 88-84 win at the MOA Arena.

Nathalia Prado shone for Adamson with a monster double-double, as she was just two rebounds shy of a 20-20 game after pouring in 26 points for coach John Kallos.

Ana Castillo fired in 19 markers but she had little help from her teammates as the misfiring Lady Archers fall to 0-3.

Adamson fell behind by five before taking a 44-42 lead at the half, thanks to a 23-point second quarter.

The lead had been switched sides twelve times and and were 14 deadlocks recorded before Adamson escape with a win, thanks to La Salle's backcourt violation with 5.7 ticks left.
