BOCAUE--TNC Pro Team went amuck as they pulled out a devastating upset over powerhouse Team Infamous in Day 1 of the Galaxy Battles II: Emerging Worlds at the Philippine Arena, Friday.
Marc Fausto, Carlo Palad, and Tims Randrup ran amuck in the latter stages of their sudden death one game face off in the lower bracket.
Down by as many as six kills in the early stages, the trio flicked their afterburners and ran wild against a much stronger Infamous 5.
Earlier in Day 1, TNC suffered humiliation in the hands of Team Spirit, two sets to nothing, that sent them in the lower bracket of the tournament.
In other matches, Evil Geniuses survived severe early-game disaster as they whacked out PG.Barracx of Indonesia in similar fashion, 2-0.
PG.Barracx turned out to be the dominater early on, converting two First Blood kills in the match.
The match progressed and Evil Geniuses broke up jitters and steamrolled their adversaries despite having a two kill deficit in the first set, 26-10 highlighted with a vicious 19-1 rampage in the latter stages.
