MANILA--Three players who were dearly missed in Gilas' game against Australia on Thursday will suit up for the Philippine team's game against Japan on Sunday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

In an announcement made by Coach Chot Reyes on Saturday via Facebook, Jayson Castro, Jio Jalalon, and Troy Rosario will suit up for Gilas against Japan.

Castro, Jalalon, and Rosario will take over the spots that will be vacated by Kevin Alas, Carl Cruz, and Abu Tratter.

Castro had an ankle sprain although he played through it in TNT's last games against Phoenix and Ginebra.

It was also in the KaTropa-Fuel Masters game where Rosario hurt his chin following a bad fall, forcing him to sit out the Australia game as well.

Jalalon, on the other hand, is also nursing a leg injury.

In the process, the other nine players who played in Melbourne, Calvin Abueva, Kiefer Ravena, RR Pogoy, Matt Wright, Allein Maliksi, Gabe Norwood, Japeth Aguilar, Junemar Fajardo, and Andray Blatche, will still play on Sunday.
