MAKATI - Playoffs-bound ONIC Philippines ends their Week 5 campaign on a high note as they trample a hapless Smart Omega side Saturday inside the Shooting Gallery Studios.

It was a resounding win for the Sonics, who claimed their postseason berth after defending champs AP.Bren defeated TNC Pro Team in the earlier series.

Jomearie "Escalera" Santos led the team in the first game after a 12-5 beatdown of the Barangay, with the roamer securing two kills and nine assists with only one death using the Arlott.

Frince "Super Frince" Ramirez's Pharsa recorded a perfect game with three kills and five assists, while Duane "Kelra" Pillas' Karrie led all players in kills with six along with two dimes,

Omega had a better second game, even securing all three turtles with Andrew "Andoryuu" Flora's Baxia delivering for the Barangay.

However, ONIC countered in the late game, extending the fight to the 24th minute, when Omega grabbed the lord and decided to call game.

King Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez's Nolan burst down Jayson "UKIR" Alupit's Vexana, dislodging Smart Omega's plans to push to no avail, as the rest of the Sonics went down to the exposed Omega base and ended the game in their terms.

K1NGKONG's 6/1/10 performance with the Nolan earned him an MVP nod, despite getting a single lord in the 25-minute match, while Kelra's Harith logged nine kills and seven assists.

With the win, ONIC moved to 24 points with an 8-2 win-loss record, while Omega sinks to 1-9, still with 4 points in the bag.

Both teams will rest on Sunday, with ONIC taking on Minana EVOS and Omega taking on Blacklist International to open their Week 6 campaigns.
