MAKATI - Vincent "Pando" Unigo's debut game makes wonders for defending champs as AP.Bren secures the first spot in the MPL Philippines Season 13 playoffs on Saturday.

Pando played in place of regular starter David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon against TNC Pro Team, with his last series being in Seasons 11 and 12, playing a combined 5 games against the same opponent.

The Bees prevailed, dealing a 15-9 beatdown of the Phoenix, with Pando getting the MVP nod with 2/2/4 KDA with the Benedetta, while limiting Christian "HEADS" Morada's Paquito's influence in the early to mid stages.

Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo's Edith provided 10 kill score contributions to AP.Bren, while Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson's Baxia listed 3/1/11.

TNC had a better second game, setting an early game lead against AP.Bren, including a four-person knockdown near the lord pit with only Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano remaining for the Bees.

However, AP.Bren capitalized on TNC's hesitations on the lord take, dealing a fightback in the late game led by Owgwen's Edith, who took the MVP honors with 3/2/7 KDA.

TNC did not get any major objective, with KyleTzy and even Pando getting their hands on both the turtle and the lord in 17 minutes of gameplay.

ONIC Philippines also confirmed their playoff spot as TNC's maximum number of points possible will be less than ONIC's current tally of 21 points.

AP.Bren will face a red-hot Minana EVOS on Sunday to close their Week 5 campaign, while TNC will try to stop the bleeding against fellow struggling side Blacklist International.
