MAKATI - Smart Omega keeps their playoff bid alive as they upset defending champions AP.Bren in a 2-1 showdown in Week 6 of MPL Philippines Season 13 on Sunday.

It was Omega's second win in a row after they brought veteran roamer Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog back to the main team after spending two months in the MDL.

Both teams engaged in a long Game 1 as AP.Bren and Smart Omega combined for just 11 kills in 29 minutes, with the Bees leading by almost 5,000 gold.

However, with Michael "KyleTzy" Sayson's Barats falling in the 29th minute, the Barangay capitalized on his loss, trimming the lead until they got their hands on the lord.

From there it was all Omega as they ended the game two minutes later, with Jomari "Jowm" Pingol's Natan with six kills, and  Andrew "Andoryuuu" Flora tallied seven assists with the Baxia.

The Bees bounced back in the second game with a 12-5 kill score, as captain Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel tallied a 2/1/6 KDA with the Vexana.

This time, it was Omega who did not get their hands on a single objective as Andoryuuu tallied only a kill and three assist with the Akai, and Ch4knu's Grock limited to only four assists.

Nowee "Ryota" Macasa had other plans in mind as he stepped up in the final game, flipping the kill score 12-5 in favor of Omega while having a 7/1/4 KDA.

The EXP laner managed to limit KyleTzy's surprise Fanny pick, putting him in defense mode while Andoryuuu and the rest of the Barangay got his buffs.

Jayson "Ukir" Alupit also had a great game with the Valentina, getting a kill and 10 assists as he targeted Pheww and Vincent "Pando" Unigo's ultimates.

Omega will try to retain their momentum against the already-eliminated TNC Pro Team, while AP.Bren will seek answers against fellow top contenders ONIC Philippines next week.
