AP.Bren locks #1 seed, wins three-game thriller against ECHO

MAKATI - Top seed secured.

Defending MPL Philippines AP.Bren will enter the playoffs as the best team in the regular season as they win against a resilient ECHO side, two games to one, Sunday inside the Shooting Gallery Studios.

The world champions ended their season with an 11-3 record and 35 points, five points clear of the Orcas who only got a singular point to climb to 30.

It was a dominant performance for the Bees as they ended their game in 18 minutes with a 10-2 outing, with Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano's Harith scoring five kills and assisting two more.

Michael "KyleTzy" Sayson's Baxia also had a field day with 2/2/7 KDA while getting all major objectives, while Jaypee "Jaypee" dela Cruz suffered a 0/4/1 beatdown using the Arlott.

Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno starred in the second game as his Martis tallied five kills and three assists to lead ECHO in an 11-4 beatdown of AP.Bren, while getting all three turtles and the sole lord of the game.

Jaypee had a great game with the Mathilda, scoring a game-high ten assists, and Alston "Sanji" Pabico's Vexana's grabbed two kills and seven assists.

KyleTzy's attempt to pull off an assassin didn't work this time as the jungler's Ling grabbed three kills but fell three times, too, while captain Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel only listed a kill while falling thrice.

The Bees needed 26 minutes in the final game to finish off the Orcas, but pulled a 20-5 domination in the late game as Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo's Edith pulled six kills and assisted ten to lead the champs.

AP.Bren led by as much as 4.8 thousand gold but a shutdown on Owgwen leveled the terms for the Orcas.

The Bees turned things back in their favor as they continued their onslaught, mainly targeting Jaypee's Chip who fell six times while only assisting five in the process.

ECHO will remain in the upper bracket with a 9-5 record and 30 points in their bag.
