PASIG--Biñan kept its MPBL record unblemished three games in after trouncing Imus, 84-67, on Wednesday night at the Batangas City Coliseum.

Playing for the first time this season outside the Alonte Sports Arena, the Tatak Gel quickly made mincemeat out of the Agimat, holding them to just nine points in the first quarter.

Imus threatened to pull a huge upset after scoring 29 points in the third quarter, but Biñan bounced back by holding them to only 14 in the final frame.

Jimboy Estrada led the Tatak Gel, who are now at 3-0, with 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists, while Jaymar Gimpayan added 14 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block.

JR Sumido fired 18 points with one rebound and two steals for the Agimat, who slipped to 0-5.

In the main game, Batangas City bounced back after a tough defeat to Pasay last week with a 70-63 home win against Rizal.

The Rum Masters turned things around in the fourth quarter, dropping 28 points on the Golden Coolers to pull away after a tight contest for most of the first three periods.

Levi Hernandez led Batangas City, which moved up to 4-1, with 15 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Jong Baloria added 10 points, one rebound, and one assist off the bench.

John Apacible had 15 points, five rebounds, and one steal for Rizal, which lost for the first time this season after a 4-0 start.
