LAS PINAS--The Bren Esports franchise continued to soar over Blacklist International in MPL PH Season 13 as the club now known as Falcons AP Bren swept Blacklist, 3-0, in the upper bracket semifinals on Thursday night at the SM Southmall Events Hall.
Finally swinging into postseason action after a Day 1 bye, Falcons AP Bren dominated a weary Blacklist side that played a grand total of nine games during the stepladder play-in the night before and took the series opener with a 13-2 kill lead in just 16 and a half minutes.
Blacklist found its rhythm going early into Game 2 and kept in step with Falcons AP Bren, but a 5-0 kill run by Falcons AP Bren sparked its endgame brilliance to once again score the win in a little less than 13 minutes.
In the clincher, Falcons AP Bren banked on Michael Sayson's brilliance in taking care of the objectives to slowly build its eventual domination of Blacklist, needing 17 minutes to complete the job in Game 3.
Falcons AP Bren set a date with Liquid Echo in the upper bracket finals on Friday night with the first spot to the Esports World Cup on the line.
Blacklist, on the other hand, will take on RSG Philippines in the lower bracket semifinals for survival.
