MANILA—Strong Group stayed undefeated in the Dubai International Basketball Championship after whipping Libyan club Al-Nasr, 93-76, early Sunday (Philippine Time) at the Al-Nasr Sports Club in Dubai.

Unlike its opener against the United Arab Emirates, Strong Group waxed hot at the beginning, opening a 24-6 lead midway through the first quarter.

Strong Group never looked back from there, although Al-Nasr ended the game on a 7-0 run to cut the final margin to a more respectable one.

Shabazz Muhammad continued to display consistent brilliance by leading the now 2-0 Strong Group with 26 points, while fellow former NBA veteran Renaldo Balkman added 18.

Donte Lamnot led Al-Nasr with 22 markers.

Strong Group will take a day off before returning to action early Tuesday (Philippine Time) against Syrian side Al-Wahda.

Al-Wahda is at the bottom of Group A following blowout losses to Al-Nasr and Dynamo.
