PBA: Bennie Boatwright sizzles as SMB continues march to QF bonus with rout of Terrafirma

QUEZON CITY--Bennie Boatwright blasted off for 51 points to lead San Miguel to a 132-110 win against Terrafirma in their PBA Commissioner's Cup game on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

With Boatwright at the helm, the Beermen slowly pulled away from the Dyip even as SMB put the game away after holding Terrafirma to just 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Boatwright went 19-for-31 from the field including 7-of-13 from deep for his points, and he too had 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and one steal as the Beermen won for the fourth straight game to move up to 7-3.

Don Trollano added 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals as SMB strengthened its bid to notch a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.

Javi Gomez De Liano made 26 points on 11-of-16 field goals, seven rebounds, and four assists for the Dyip, who slipped to 2-8.

Thomas De Thaey and Juami Tiongson each added 17 points with the former also grabbing 17 rebounds.
