MANILA--The Nexplay Evos "Big 3" are back together, but not as the core of a rejigged MPL Philippines club.
Renejay Bacarse, Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera, and John "H2WO" Salonga are officially taking their talents to Mobile Legends Bang Bang's rival esports title Honor of Kings.
HOK showed a mini-movie just as the clock struck noon on Thursday announcing the three former MPL PH stars' move along with their longtime mentor, Setsuna "AkoSiDogie" Ignacio.
In another surprise move, former Minana Evos player Oscar "Sumpak" Romero was revealed to be HOK-bound too.
The question now is whether Ignacio is unretiring from his playing career and complete what could possibly be the main quintet for a Philippine Kings League expansion club.
The former MPL PH pros' decision to move to PKL came at the heels of Moonton's decision to bar reigning NACT Spring champion S8UL from competing in the MLBB Mid Season Cup after Jang "Hoon" Seong-Hun and Michael "Mobazane" Cosgun's ill-advised move to stream an HOK tournament.
